កម្ពុជាស្នើអាមេរិកផ្តល់ជំនួយបច្ចេកទេសនិងការអភិវឌ្ឍសមត្ថភាពស្ថាប័នរយៈពេលវែង
As Cambodia prepares to graduate from the Least Developed Countries (LDC) group by 2029, Cambodia requests the United States to provide technical assistance and institutional capacity building during this transition period in the medium and long term.
H.E. Aun Pornmonirath, Minister of Economy and Finance, made the request during a working meeting with a U.S. Congressional delegation led by Rep. Beth Van Duyne of Texas, along with Rep. Richard McCormick of Georgia, and Rep. Suhas Subraanyam of Virginia, on August 28 at the Ministry of Economy. H.E. Minister of Economy highlighted Cambodia’s socio-economic development, which has been growing over the past three decades, despite the high level of uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and regional and global risks.
H.E. Minister expressed gratitude for the cooperation on the Cambodia-U.S. tariff agreement and the efforts of H.E. Donald J. Trump, President of the United States, in facilitating a ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand.
Linking to the memory of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, HE the Minister highlighted the importance of the United States’ participation as a trading and development partner in promoting socio-economic development in all sectors, including the garment sector, non-garment manufacturing, health, finance, and hospitality sectors, etc.
In response, the Head of the Delegation did not agree with the above-mentioned proposal of HE the Minister of Economy of Cambodia. However, HE the Minister highly appreciated the Royal Government of Cambodia’s socio-economic development and poverty reduction, as well as the Royal Government’s stance in always adhering to efforts to maintain peace and stability, which are the foundations for building a prosperous nation. The US and Cambodia will continue to strengthen economic ties and socio-economic development by promoting trade and investment, digital transformation, the use of artificial intelligence, and improving the business environment, as well as cooperating to prevent and crack down on cybercrime and online fraud, and immigration enforcement, aiming to build sustainable, resilient, inclusive, and equitable economic growth.

ការផ្សារភ្ជាប់ទៅនឹងអនុស្សាវរីយ៍នៃចំណងមិត្តភាពការទូតក្នុងរយៈពេល ៧៥ឆ្នាំនៃប្រទេសទាំងពីរ, ឯកឧត្តមរដ្ឋមន្រ្តី បានបង្ហាញពីសារសំខាន់នៃការចូលរួមរបស់សហរដ្ឋអាមេរិកក្នុងនាមជាដៃគូពាណិជ្ជកម្ម និងដៃគូអភិវឌ្ឍន៍ ក្នុងការជំរុញដល់ការអភិវឌ្ឍសង្គម-សេដ្ឋកិច្ចលើគ្រប់វិស័យ រួមមានវិស័យកាត់ដេរ វិស័យកម្មន្តសាលមិនមែនកាត់ដេរ វិស័យសុខាភិបាល វិស័យហិរញ្ញវត្ថុ និងវិស័យបដិសណ្ឋារកិច្ចជាដើម។
