The phenomenon of the sun rising at the center of the Angkor temple, or the “Equinox Angkor Event”, will occur from 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM from September 21 to 23. This phenomenon demonstrates the unique characteristics of the Khmer ancestors in considering architectural plans, temple construction plans, land planning, mathematical calculations, astronomical calculations, and faith.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Tourism, the “Equinox Angkor Event” occurs twice a year. The first is the Vernal Equinox, which may occur between March 21 and 23 at 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM, and the second is the Autumnal Equinox, which may occur between September 21 and 23 at 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM.
The “Equinox Angkor” is a popular event that attracts national and international tourists from all over the world to gather in front of the southern entrance of Angkor Wat to watch and take pictures of this amazing event.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Tourism invites the public and all national and international tourists to join in watching this amazing event and to promote Cambodian tourism in accordance with the slogans “Tourism for All, All for Tourism”, “Tourism Grows in Peace” and “Each Person Promotes Cambodian Tourism”.
បាតុភូតព្រះអាទិត្យរះចំកំពូលកណ្តាលនៃប្រាសាទអង្គរ ឬហៅថា «ព្រឹត្តិការណ៍សមរាត្រី Equinox Angkor» នឹងកើតឡើងនៅវេលាម៉ោង ៥និង០០នាទីព្រឹកដល់ម៉ោង៦និង៣០នាទីព្រឹកពីថ្ងៃទី២១ដល់ថ្ងៃទី២៣ ខែកញ្ញា។ បាតុភូតនេះ បានស្តែងឱ្យឃើញលក្ខណៈពិសេសរបស់បុព្វបុរសខ្មែរ ក្នុងការគិតគូរពីប្លង់ស្ថាបត្យកម្ម ប្លង់សាងសង់ប្រាសាទ ការរៀបចំដីធ្លី ការគន់គូរតាមគណិតវិទ្យា ការគិតគូរពីដំណើរតារាសាស្រ្ត រួមផ្សំជាមួយជំនឿ។
បើតាមសេចក្តីជូនដំណឹងរបស់ក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ បានគូសបញ្ជាក់ថា «ព្រឹត្តិការណ៍សមរាត្រី Equinox Angkor» តែងកើតឡើងចំនួន ២ដង ជារៀងរាល់ឆ្នាំ ដោយលើកទី១ គឺសមរាត្រីរដូវប្រាំង (Vernal Equinox) អាចនឹងកើតឡើងនៅចន្លោះថ្ងៃទី២១ ដល់ថ្ងៃទី២៣ ខែមីនា នៅវេលាម៉ោង៥និង០០នាទីព្រឹកដល់ម៉ោង ៦និង៣០នាទីព្រឹក និងលើកទី២ គឺសមរាត្រីរដូវរស្សា (Autumnal Equinox) ដែលអាចនឹងកើតឡើងនៅចន្លោះថ្ងៃទី២១ដល់ថ្ងៃទី២៣ ខែកញ្ញា នៅវេលាម៉ោង៥និង០០នាទីព្រឹកដល់ម៉ោង ៦និង៣០នាទីព្រឹក។
«ព្រឹត្តិការណ៍សមរាត្រី Equinox Angkor» គឺជាព្រឹត្តិការណ៍ដ៏ពេញនិយមបំផុតមួយ ដែលទាក់ទាញភ្ញៀវទេសចរជាតិ-អន្តរជាតិពីគ្រប់ទិសទីមកប្រជុំគ្នានៅមុខច្រកចូលទិសខាងលិខនៃប្រាសាទអង្គរវត្ត ដើម្បីទស្សនា និងផ្តិតយករូបភាពពីព្រឹត្តិការណ៍ដ៏អស្ចារ្យនេះ។
